This is why I love Nasty Gal:

Godzilla Dress, Nasty Gal

It doesn’t matter if I’m broke and not planning on purchasing anything (not that original intent usually stops me), everytime I go on my favorite online store, I have a blast. This dress embodies (or rather embodycons) the diveresity of looks and reactions Nasty Gal’s pieces bring about. No where else could you find a dress that combines edge, sex appeal, and fun so effectively. Only in the dawn of the Nasty Gal could donning a print of a reptilian monster knocking over buildings = total knockout.

While I, along with countless other women, love Leandra Medine’s concept of Man Repelling, it tends to leave out sex appeal. The way Nasty Gal selects, designs, and styles their items resonates with the girl who not only wants to dress for herself, but also look sexy for…HERSELF. Shocking. I know, it’s a radical concept: girls and women can express sexuality without a guy having any role in the equation. We can embrace our curves and break from convention. Weird is sexy. Who cares if a guy doesn’t get it. Let him have fun with the boring bitty bandaged into the Herve  Ledger look-a-like. Dress for yourself. Wait, did this just become a post about femenism? No, no I won’t do that to you… yet.
